Swim Team Head Coach (Seasonal)

Stone Lake Community Club | Greenville, SC

 

Stone Lake Community Club is seeking an energetic, experienced, and positive Head Swim Team Coach to lead our SAIL summer swim program. The Head Coach will oversee all aspects of the swim team's coaching program while fostering a fun, encouraging, and competitive environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and lead daily swim practices.
• Coach all dual meets, Divisionals, Championships, and other team events.
• Supervise and mentor assistant and junior coaches.
• Develop practice plans and meet lineups.
• Teach proper stroke technique, starts, turns, and race strategy.
• Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and the Swim Team Committee.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive team culture.
• Ensure compliance with all Stone Lake Community Club policies, SAIL, & US Swimming’s Safe Sport rules.

 

Qualifications:

• Previous competitive swimming and coaching experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate swimmers of all ages and skill levels.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications (or ability to obtain before the season begins).

 

Season: Mid-May through Mid-July, with preseason planning beginning in December.
